The most expansive description is always the most accurate

DecSimp has made the Chicago Tribune‘s list of Best Chicago Blogs in the Arts & Culture category. Chicago Opera Theater honcho Brian Dickie is also there, along with Gapers Block and plenty of people writing about architecture. The tagline for DecSimp reads “Postings about the arts and life from a Chicago Symphony Orchestra guy.” This is much better than both taglines of my devising: “Music and culture from Marc Geelhoed, artistic bureaucrat” and “Your source for classical music and books by middle-aged white men.” “Life” covers pretty much everything, right? Thanks to the Trib and its readers, and thanks too for turning me on to a bunch of noteworthy new blogs, like this one.
